hanks to qed* Design, crutches have a new and improved look to allow you to limp along in style, even when you’re down and out. These slick looking crutches come in a whole array of colours and feature comfy grips and improved flexibility. Hobbling around on a lame leg no longer means bearing the cross of lame style. German design team qed has bestowed upon the trusty crutch a much-needed 21st century makeover. The Flexability crutch is composed of molded glass-reinforced plastic and sports a stackable, streamlined shape. Crutches did not experience any major improvements during the past 40 years. This innovative concept adapts crutches to a new generation and lifestyle by including the following novel features: stackability, flexibility (dynamic walking), ergonomically improved hand-rest-of a piece, „integrative design“. We invite manufacturers to take in consideration this interesting concept and get in touch with this cool guys in qed* They are really able to come with interesting solutions.
qed* questions every day objects and generates new concepts and products – products from a surprising and inspiring point of view in terms of usability, material, technology and design, to make everyday life more pleasurable and sensible. Michael Neubauer mapped out the design philosophy “qed” in 2006, which is the guideline for the creative process and the output. This was the basis for the foundation of the q.e.d. Design GmbH in 2008. Since then qed* became established in the design scene with own products and projects, but is also using their experience and know-how to help companies to develope and realize new product solutions in various sectors.
