n the apartment life, space is sometimes hard to come by. H20 Architectes have designed this child’s bed in order to accommodate crowded areas. The structure is an all-in-one area for children. It features a regular bed situated at the top accessible by stairs, multiple storage areas around the structure (shelves, cupboards) and a play area in between desk, chair. This delightful design makes the messy lives of children an easier, more manageable place all while saving a ton of space. To divide the children’s room into two areas, the architects inserted a furnishing unit that forms a partition and incorporates a raised bed and play facilities. The room-height element is 2.96 ≈ 1.28 m on plan and has a virtually smooth rear face, whereas the front, with a table, shelves, steps for sitting, storage recesses and stairs, can be used for climbing, hiding away, painting and other activities. When the sliding doors are closed, the younger child can sleep in the space to the rear, while the older daughter can continue to play on the other side. The unit consists of 20 mm medium-density fibreboard on a timber-frame construction. Fixed to floor and ceiling, it can be simply removed as required. Of course this is a very interesting solution to create new concepts of kids furniture. For more information on H2O Architectes just visit the link below.
