If you have been waiting to see what the end of the world would look like in 2012, you may have to wait a bit longer.  According to the latest research regarding the analysis of Mayan calendar, although 21 December 2012, is an important date and era for the Mayan people, it is nevertheless not an apocalyptic one. Sven Gronemeyer from La Trove University in Australia attempted to decode the famous message from the Mayan calendars and his understanding of the hieroglyphs points that the date is a symbolic one since it symbolizes the day of creation and the passage of God.  It represents the arrival of the Mayan God of war and creation and his reappearance is only meant to be seen as a new era, not necessarily a destructive one. The researcher also points out to the fact that decoding the stone tablet did not come without difficulty-it was not only 1300 years old but also bore a crack in the middle of it.
